While at the Black Forest Mill, he discovered the talents of Cherie Colarusso, who worked at the restaurant as a bartender and waitress. She asked Eric if he knew "Lady in Red," and challenged him to perform it with her. The performance launched a musical partnership. Soon they began performing together to the delight of many patrons of the Black Forest Mill Restaurant. In 2005, a tuba player stopped in and performed with Eric at the Black Forest Mill. After a few rehearsals, Eric decided to branch out to other venues and launched "Alpine Squeeze" as a musical duo specializing in German American music. It wasn't long before Eric recognized that the duo needed some more "spice." He asked Cherie to join the duo and within a very short time, the duo became a "trio" and the phone started to ring off the hook for bookings. In 2006, Alpine Squeeze partnered with a local NY travel agency and launched the "Tropical Squeeze" tour on a 10 day cruise to the Bahamas. In commemoration of the event, Eric wrote the song "Tropical Squeeze" which is the title track of their latest album with the same name. Since then, Alpine Squeeze has had the good fortune of acquiring some of the most talented musicians around. The musicians that make up Alpine Squeeze today are without a doubt best in class! As a result, the band delivers on it's mission to provide quality musical performances at affordable rates. Here is a list of past venues.

After playing solo for many years at local establishments in the New York,
tri-state area, Eric Baal (band leader) arrived at The Black Forest Mill
Restaurant in Highland Mills, NY. During this time, in 2003, Eric
produced his first CD entitled "How About A Little Squeeze."
